Preparation of Tea

A cup of tea makes our morning refreshing. It is very easy to prepare this refreshing hot drink. First, some freshwater is boiled in a kettle or a saucepan. Then tea leaves are dropped into it. These leaves are soaked in boiled water for three or four minutes to obtain liquor. The liquor is, thereafter poured into cups through a strainer. Next, a teaspoon of sugar and a tablespoon of milk is added to the liquor in each cup. Then the mixture is stirred well with a spoon. Finally, it is ready to be served hot to guests.

Time needed:  10 minutes

Preparation of tea/tea making process in 5 steps writing

For preparing tea, water is boiled. If you want a cup of tea, boil 1 cup of water.

Put tea leaves in the boiled water and wait for 3 to 4 minutes.

Pour the liquor into a cup through a sieve. It will remove the tea leaves from the liquor.

Add a spoonful of sugar to the tea.

Add a tablespoonful of milk to the cup

Stir the mixture with a spoon.

Tea leaves, sugar and milk are the primary materials needed in tea making. You can use lemon juice instead of milk and sugar-free tables instead of sugar.

Tea is a kind of energy-giving drink. it is prepared easily at home through some simple steps. At first , some cold water is poured into a kettle. Next , the kettle is put on the oven to boil the water until the vapor comes out. Now some tea leaves are put in a teapot. After that, the hot water is poured in a teapot. Next, the teapot is covered with a lid and is left for three minutes for the tea leaves to soak in hot water. In the next step, sugar and milk are added to it and the whole mixture is stirred with a teaspoon. Finally, it is poured into cups through a strainer. Now tea is ready to serve.

How to make a cup of tea?

We will start this blog post with a very simple question “How do you make a cup of tea?” That’s an easy one you may say. There are simple steps and order in which you must do things: 1. Fill up the kettle with water 2. Boil the kettle 3. Place a teabag in your favourite mug 4. Pour boiling water into your favourite mug 5. Brew the tea for a few moments 6. Remove and dispose of the teabag 7. Add milk 8. Add sugar 9. Stir the tea 10. Enjoy the hot beverage

Some may disagree with the 10 steps above. You may not like sugar in your tea or add milk to begin with. The point is although we have the same desired end result we may all approach the method differently. There is no right or wrong way (although putting milk in first is just wrong!) it is about the method that is the best and works for you.

Now what does this have to do with accounting or your business I hear you cry! Well, the point very well hidden above is maintaining your business bookkeeping and financials is very much like making a cup of tea. Tea which is a kind of drink in our daily life can cut down our stress and headache and can give us an amazing strength. We can take it single or with bread, chapati and biscuit. The processing of making tea is very easy and it can be prepared through some simple steps. At first some cold water is poured in a kettle. Next it is boiled until the vapour comes out. Then tea leaf is put in a pot. Thereafter the boiled water is poured in the tea pot and it is left for 2 minutes. After that sugar and milk are added and stirred with a teaspoon. Now, the processing of making the tea is completed and ready to pour in cups. At last it is served hot.

‘TEA’ is the love for everyone. Most of the people like to drink tea in the morning, in the evening and in there free time. There are different types of tea in our country, Like lemon tea, black tea, green tea, regular tea etc. Therefore we celebrate International and National tea day each and every year.

Tea is the thing which we can enjoy with our family , with our friends, on the official occasion and on the every special event the first thing is offer to guest is a cup of tea. The process of making a cup of tea is very simple , easy and quick.

One day me and mom was in the kitchen and she said come here I will tell you the process of making a tea. I was very happy and excited to learn how to make tea. So firstly take a tea utensil or a empty kittle. Then add half cup of water in to it , turn on the gas burner and placed on it. Then add two spoon of sugar in to it. Then according to your choice add some quantity of crushed ginger or lemon grass in to it. When water starts boiling add half spoon tea leaves or tea powder in to it. Wait for three to four minutes. After that add same quantity of water i.e half cup of water in to it. Again wait for three to four minutes. Boil the mixture and then turn off the gas burner. Take a tea cup rinse the tea with the help of tea strainer and the cup of tea is ready to serve.

This is the very simple and oldest method or process of making a cup of tea. The same procedure is follow for more cup of tea. According to quantity add the amount of tea powder, sugar, and milk. Now a days tea bags are also available. This is also very easy, fast and simple method of making tea.

Write the steps you would use for making tea. Use the word solution, solvent, solute, dissolve, soluble, insoluble, filtrate and residue.

Tea can be prepared by the following steps

• Take 100mL of water in a pan. This will be our solvent.
• Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and tea leaves, each. These will be our solutes.
• Boil the mixture in order to dissolve the solutes in the solvent.
• Now add 80mL of milk. This will also be a solute.
• Boil the mixture.
• After a few minutes, filter the mixture. 
• Collect the filtrate in a cup. You will obtain the tea leaves in the filter used, this will be the residue.

IELTS Process Writing Sample

In this  IELTS process writing sample , the manufacture of tea is described.

A process diagram is different to a graph or chart and requires some different language structures (though you still need to compare and contrast the various stages in the process where possible).

Particular language structures that you need to be aware of are the  passive  and  time phrases .

Now, take a look at this question and the tea process below, and then study the model answer and comments below.

IELTS Process - Tea Production

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The diagram shows how tea leaves are processed into five tea types.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

IELTS process writing sample answer

The diagram presents the manufacture of five different types of tea. It is immediately apparent that although all the teas are produced from the same leaf, the differences in the manufacturing process result in five different types of tea.

The first three stages of manufacture are the same for all of the five teas. The leaves are grown, they are then plucked, and following this withering of the leaves occures. The final stage is also the same, which sees all the leaves dried in an oven. However, in the stages in between this, differing methods of production are employed.

To begin, white tea is unique as it involves no other processing. In contrast, green, oolong and large leaf black tea are all rolled as part of the process. However, while green tea is steamed before being rolled but is not fermented, the other two teas are first rolled and then both fermented (oolong only slightly but large leaf black completely). Finally, small leaf black tea is neither steamed nor rolled, but is crushed before being fully fermented.

This IELTS process writing sample is a well-organized response that covers all the important features of the diagram.

It is easy to follow as it discusses each tea in turn, but not only this, it also groups similar processes together and identifies the differences.

For example:

Similarities: The first three stages of manufacture are the same for all of the five teas. …green, oolong and large leaf black tea are all rolled as part of the process. Differences: …white tea is unique as it involves no other processing. However, while green tea is steamed before being rolled but is not fermented, the other two teas are first rolled and then both fermented.

The candidate decides to mention the first three stages and the last one together in one paragraph as they are exactly the same for every tea, and the differing stages in the middle following this.

This may seem odd to mention the stages in this order, and it is likely that when you describe a process you will discuss each stage in turn, but for this particular process it works well as the candidate can then focus on the differences.

The appropriate voice is also used in the description, which is the passive.

When we write about a process, we are interested in the actions, NOT who is doing them. In this case we use the passive voice. Here are some examples of the passive voice from this IELTS writing sample process:

...the teas are produced from the same leaf The leaves are grown , they are then plucked ...differing methods of production are employed

It may not always be possible, but if you can you should also try to use synonyms for some of the words from the diagram rather than copying them all.

For example, ‘ completely ’ fermented is used instead of ‘ fully ’.

Make sure you also make use of a mix of ‘ time’ transitions to guide the reader through the description:

…they are then plucked, and following this withering of the leaves occures. …the other two teas are first rolled and then both fermented

The candidate also demonstrates the ability to accurately use a mix of complex structures necessary to achieve above a band 6 for ‘ grammatical range and accuracy ’:

Noun Clauses: It is immediately apparent that although all the teas are produced from the same leaf... Relative Clauses: The final stage is also the same, which sees all the leaves dried in an oven. Adverbial Clauses: … although all the teas are produced from the same leaf …white tea is unique as it involves no other processing. … while green tea is steamed before being rolled but is not fermented,
